A Lesson in Bookshelf Styling

Empty your bookshelf first – and then begin styling by creating group of items + books. Use accessories that reflect your personality + the theme (and color scheme) of the room. Display your books in stacks (usually in odd numbers) with heavier books and items (like storage baskets) on the lower shelves. Place visually lighter and smaller books and items up high. Alternate the groupings so that accessories sit above and below a row or stack of books, rather than having books above books and accessories above accessories. This will create pace in your bookcase staging.
