Wallpaper Project

If you’d like to add a little zhuzh(!) to your home, wallpaper is the way to go ~ and if you don’t want to spend too much money, choose a smaller room or accent wall for your splurge. For this project, we selected Katie’s son’s bathroom and are so thrilled with the results! Let’s break it all down.

Because the room is so small and has a lot of angles, we decided to wallpaper the ceiling as well to keep things cohesive. The total cost of the wallpaper plus installation was $2,035 before sales tax. There are many options when it comes to wallcovering, but we strongly recommend you use a vinyl or at least a washable wallpaper in the bathroom. This particular paper is heavy duty — so thick, in fact, that our installer couldn’t wrap the outlet covers like we prefer. Thibaut and Phillip Jeffries are KKI’s go-to for vinyl, but you should also check out York Wallcoverings if you are on a tighter budget.

Last but not least, save yourself time and possibly some money by having your installer measure and tell you how much paper to order. We don’t want anyone ordering too much or worse, not enough! Also, not all professional installers want to mess with Peel + Stick, so keep that in mind if you are considering that.
